This module includes a comprehensive guide to understanding the clinical stages of shock. This module discusses how preload, afterload, and cardiac output are affected in clinical stages of shock and the subsequent effects on the heart, lungs, kidneys, and liver.
Identifying factors of SIRS and MODS, and differentiating factors are also offered. Understanding Clinical Stages of Shock has the goal of facilitating knowledge and confidence in the care of the critically ill patient.
