This course follows OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogen Standard, 29 CFR 1910.1030. It covers a basic understanding of bloodborne pathogens, the modes of transmission, a review of universal precautions, and the post-exposure procedures.
TARGET audience
This module is designed for all hospital personnel who are looking to become more knowledgeable and confident in their comprehension and approach to blood borne pathogens. This course can be used for new hospital personnel or in meeting repeated mandatory training.
