This module includes a comprehensive explanation of congenital diaphragmatic hernia, as well as the signs, symptoms, and treatment options. Discussion on how the pulmonary system is implicated and the use of ECMO will help you to understand the extent of CDH effects. This module includes a case scenario that puts into practice the learner’s understanding of the material.
This course has the goal of facilitating knowledge and confidence in the care of the newborn diagnosed with congenital diaphragmatic hernia. This CDH module is also used as a great orientation tool for nurses wishing to pursue a career in the field of Neonatology/Nursery.
TARGET audience
This module is designed as an orientation tool for nurses new to this population as well as a review for nurses who are currently working in the Newborn/Neonatal Sector. Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia has been formulated as a separate module originating from Neonatal Gastrointestinal Assessment.
