Personal Protective Equipment

Created by: Terance McNinch

Your personal protective equipment (PPE), which is specifically chosen for your job and your situation, acts as a final defense against the dangers at your workplace. When it comes to PPE,  employees and employers have specific responsibilities. Employers must tell the employees about the hazards of the job and they have to furnish the correct PPE to minimize those hazards. Employees have to use the PPE correctly. If either of these does not happen, the risk of injury (or worse) increases dramatically. In addition to employer and employee responsibilities, this training covers basic PPE for eye, head, foot, hand, and skin protection. (13 min, English only)
